Wedding

Alhamdulillah, 2008 marked a new journey to my life. Zul and I officially pronounced as husband and wife on Saturday, 08.11.08 at 10.43am. The solemnization took place at my parent’s house at Bukit Beruntung. I can still recall the atmosphere…the whether was sunny bright, the natural-fragrant of the fresh flowers soothes, simple décor here and there, the canopy setup and the guests; families and friends were there to witness and celebrate the occasion. Everything was simple just as I wanted it to be :) THEME: Purple!

I was nervous on the big day, seriously. We planned to begin the akad nikah at 10.30am. Zul’s side arrived at 10.00am! And during that time, my invitees (families and close friends) were still on their way to our house. Even Tuan Kadi was not there. The house was just not ready for the event! Kak Nurul also came a bit late. Hehe well I guess express make over suits express wedding perfectly :P Luckily the makeup turned out so beautiful. Many couldn’t take it when I show them my wedding picture. Credit goes to Kak Nurul!

The ceremony began at 10.30am roughly. Zul and I settled down at our place and Tuan Kadi took it from there. I remember the look on Zul’s face. He was really calm, steady as always. Impressive! He smiled and laughed; and that drove my anxiety away! I asked him later that night; 'you looked so calm pagi td...tak cuak ke?' and he responded 'y should i? i nak u..' cair~ haha..Tuan Kadi also handled the ceremony well. I went to several akad nikahs before. Often, the surrounding was ‘gloomy’, serious and a bit tense especially for the groom. But this Kadi was so cool. The kutbah was interesting, once a while he added in jokes which helped to neutralized the aura in the hall. You could hear people laughing, see people smiling during the session. Aint that beautiful? I was so happy. And tried so hard to put away the sad feeling of ‘leaving’ the family and becoming someone else’s. I avoid looking at mama and baba; a tears-wedding do without!

My close friends were also around during the akad; Fatin arrived the night before and Wengurl came on the day itself. Alin, Sha, Zura, Diyana, Diha, Noran, Apid, Fira and Pina..they came in purple! Missing : Ms Syafina Daniel..hehe Old friends from school were also there. Zul and I were flattered! To Fatin, I owe u big time! Thanks for sleeping over the night before and treated me like a queen during my big day..




The event continued with acara besanding at 2.00pm. We were grateful for having Zul’s peers to join us during the ceremony. They came all the way from Sg Petani! Even his second man in charge in the battalion was there. The sword bearer ceremony attracted many to come and witness the military wedding. I couldn’t describe how I felt but I remember the big fat smile on my face. After bersanding, we headed to the main table. The food was great. It was during this time that I took a moment to peak around; glancing through the crowd, looking for people that I know. To my surprise, many came up..i’m blessed to have great people around me =)





Food was good, we then took off for photography session. Wow, everything passed by so fast I tell you! We were about to settle down; Zul delivered a short speech to the crowd and then there was a familiar voice, requested for “Satu lagu!” Oh my…we didn’t prepare for this! Trained as an army, it is against Zul’s stand to give up to ‘challenge’. So he held my hand and leaded me to the karaoke booth. Haha we picked the song called Seiring Sejalan by Broery & Sharifah Aini. It was fun! And we sang another song at Zul’s reception; Dua Insan. Siyes kene buli ;p



Overall, I personally love the feeling of getting married. I am satisfied with my simple wedding and think it was lively! I have one regret though, being the couple of the day, i was rushed here and there..and i didnt have enough time to spend with my close friends..this I truly regret! I hope they understand tho...

Thank to those who came. I really appreciate your support; in any ways! Thank you..thank you..thank you.. (you know who you are :) )...

KKP'08 rawks!

Wuhuu! its been a week now since the most waited event for us, the 'estate' athletes; KKP '08. Like last year, this year i was in the netball team representing Corporate Contingent. Out of the 14 line-ups, only 4 were from the last year's team. The remaining 10 were 'fresh' to the team. Welcome mates! Nonetheless, i really had great times with ALL of them and am definitely missing the laughter, jokes and unique characters of each and everyone of you. May we be together again next year!

1st day of tournament

We finished 5th, a bit lower than last year's standing. But hey, we fought our battle hard and we are satisfied with what we achieved. Thats the whole idea behind the carnival, enjoying yourselves no matter how bad things turned out.The cute pinkies?

This year's centralized training was more organized. Almost all players (netball) turned up during the twice-a-day training. Boy, i really miss the 1.6km 'drill' that we had everyday. We had amazing coaches too. Netball had always be the first team to come down for training (as early as 7.30am; while others still enjoying their breakfast) and always the last team to finish the morning training :) very2 hardworking eh? yup! its just not our luck..

RECAP

Its been a while since my last post. Since then, I have done so many things..hehe..Some of them were not in my list until somebody dragged me into it...shish!

a) AF6 Final Concert - Joined Fana, Nazya, Fiza, Is and Iyra to the concert. Yup, very unusual combination...but hey, we have closed ties in HR you know..go HYPEr!


b) Went to Kursus Kawin with Shaliza and Salmi...again, unusual combination but it was hell fun! Haha..



c) Plant Familiarization trip to MMSB/PPMSB - cool! Visited Diyana's crib...awesome! Thanks for the treat babe!





d) Paintball - oh man, i gotta cancel this due to emergency..and my emergency is so valid! Go to the next point :P




e) Zul is in the town! Haha i fetched him at SP 3hours after arriving at KLIA from Kuantan...can you 'smell'the love? poyo! ;p yeah but love was the reason that drove me there ;p



f) And today, will be away from office for Karnival Keluarga PETRONAS! Yeay~

2nd Trip to Sg Petani

13 - 15 May 2008

Yeah..i was quite detached from work. Just dont have the drive to contribute in anyways. And the fact that i dont know why just killing me! It has been this way for quite sometimes. I guess once a while you gotta experience the blink outs. As much as i hate to admit this, i do sometimes make friend with dissatisfaction. Why? Somethings are better left unsaid. But rest assured, its totally work!

So, i took 3 days off. A sudden plan. I explained my situation and the boss understood. Alas, my leave application got approved! And then came Zul into the picture. He's finally got 3 days off from his current task. So he had to come back to his base in Sg Petani. And there you go, these two lovers were re-united after 3 months separated by distance but of course, Zul still had to report to the seniors regularly.

Spending 3 days and 2 nights at SP, i'm beginning to feel as if i'm as good as the locals. Why? Hehe i already know the key places to get things done in SP. After checked in, i accompanied Zul to settle his personal businesses. The first stop was Tabung Haji. Next, we went to Takaful Insurance for his monthly installment updates. Later, we headed to Pusat Zakat cawangan Sg Petani. It hits me seeing him paying the zakat after only 5 months working. Me? i've worked for almost 20 months now and havent paid any! Will check on the salary reduction for zakat purposes soon. Then, we went to Koperasi Tentera to check on his administration stuffs. We spent 4 hours at these places. At the end of the day, many things get done, Zul was happy and Jaja learnt her direction!

On the second day, we planned to visit the Archeology Museum. However, the plan was not carried out as he received a call for a favor from the seniors, and its always a must! The task required him to play with his creativity in designing. Look no further babe, Jaja is around! Luckily i had my laptop with me. The wireless connection at the hotel sucks. So we headed to Starbuck for free WiFi instead! And for the record, that was my third time to Starbuck throughout my 24 years of life! hehe and we got the task done on time. Perfecto.

The next quest was to SP Plaza. It was the first time for both of us. Yeap, no match to the shoppingmalls in KL. But what matters is the next person standing beside you! haha and what enlightened us the most was how cheap the movie ticket is. RM5 can you imagine? Well, with only 3 movie theaters, it makes all the senses it the world :) Watched=Ironman.

I still couldnt believed that i met Zul last week. Its just amazing. He looks good, still in good shape. In return, i gained weight and starting to 'build' my cheek muscle! Now that i've met you, i can 'stand' for another round of 3 months.. :)

Its good to be back in KK. Free high speed internet access just add on to the excitements! hehe ;p Shasha and Noran are also here with me. Spending 4 days and 3 nights here is just amazing. But tomorrow, headache is definitely going to be my ultimate companion again!heh!so much for a break huh ;p

The workshop went really well. Informative, enriching and mind twisting indeed. (haha) At the end of the day, the body felt so tired eventhough all we did was sit in the ballroom and listen to the speakers. And sometimes we turned to the Fun Zone chapter and occupied ourselves with the Sudoku, Jokes, and filling up the feedback form to secure ourselves a 2g thumbdrive, leaving the speaker to talk to him/herself ;p haha Speaking of the games, there was one activity called C.S.I (Cari.Selesai.Isi). The organiser gave away prizes to 7 lucky winners (all ladies!) and guess what? No, its not Gas business...haha..I was one of the winners!!wuhuuu!Yeay~ I'm just so excited coz I think the prizes are cute!
