NGV-ed

Due to our bad experience with the old route to KL, we agreed to take the highway to work everyday. This costs on RM13.20 a day. Now how do we lower the monthly expenses for traveling? Exactly, by using NGV!

Read a little bit about NGV here.

Being meticulous about engineering and the related matters, husband did his research first; in terms of the specifications, costs and testimonials. Baba, being the experience NGV user for more or less 10 years now, act as our advisor. Baba also helped us to find the reliable workshop for installation. Thank you Baba!

The car was sent to the workshop on 3rd February and the installation completed on the next day. So far, we are satisfied with the performance and the reduction in fuel cost. Our journey to work costs us RM15 for petrol daily. Thanks to NGV, it is now RM6 to RM8 daily. But, the tank needs to be filled daily. So husband has to make a pit stop at the NGV station everyday before heading to office.
so long storage space...
interested? you know the number to call :)

We are still in the observation period. Hopefully everything is smooth as silk. Our cute car has been really good to us and our pocket, since day 1. Alhamdulillah. Use good motor oil; PETRONAS Syntium 800 - semi synthetic pon dah cukup baik. Dapatkan di pasaran ok? Hehe promo pulak.

April already?

Cepatnya masa berlalu, dah April pon. I just came back from vacation impian, 1 week to be exact. Alhamdulillah, sampai sudah kami ke rumah-Mu :)In short, yes it was a really special place. Menitik air mata once nampak Masjid Nabawi apatah lg Masjidil Haram and Kaabah depan mata. Subhanallah...Semoga dimurahkan rezeki untuk ke sana lg, Insyaallah.

I think most of you pon dah pegi so takpa la, I reserve my story about the 'vacation'. Oh the only reason why I call it a vacation is its my first time going out of the country..hehe dont get me wrong :)

Challenges?
1. Leaving Raudhah Amani with her atok and nenek for 2 weeks! Sampai kurus baby ibu :( Its ok, its just gonna make you and ibu a stronger person kan? :) ibu is so proud of you, girl!
2. Being away from Malaysia when you need all the local food and your comfort zone with you. Haha surprise, I am now 10 weeks pregnant and morning sickness has just make a come back 2 weeks back, just as I was about to take off to Jeddah :D

30 weeks to go. Hope everything will be fine. Dear morning sickness, please go away sooooonnn :)

fun Saturday

My weekend last week was fun. After so many weekends spent in SP, last weekend plus the next 2, i'll be in KL. Zul has been assigned to a 2-week task in KL. If all is well, he'll might be joining the parade on 6th June 2009 at Dataran Merdeka, in conjunction with the celebration of Agong's birthday. All the best dear!

Last Saturday was a packed day for us. PGB held its family day for staff stationed at the head office. Location, Sunway Lagoon yeay! How exciting is that! We took part in the sukaneka and 'illegally' made an early-escape to find our way to its wild water slides and other attractions in both wet & dry park. We had so much fun from 8.30 am till 3.30pm. The best thing is, i think i didnt get the expected sunburn this time...save it for KKP09!

Later that day, we headed to my aunt's house at Gombak. We had a wedding invitation at Dewan Perdana Felda that night. Neither Sepang nor Bukit Beruntung is within the desire distance for us to settle down before the ceremony. So we decided to visit my aunt, took a quick break and geared up for the wedding. There, we sat at table 17, together with Kimi & Sha and Norli & Amirul. The hall was so beautiful, i like! Congratulations to Ayol & Amin. Selamat Pengantin Baru.

Before we took off that night, we took a group photo. Amirul&Norli, Sha&Kimi, Zul&Jaja and Ira&Apai. Semua dah kahwin except for Ira & Apai..tak lame lg tu :) Lame gile tak lepak dgn Ira & Fatin...i miss u girls!

Apparently, more and more friends are getting married this weekend. I may make an appearance to Anis's and Peet's wedding. Insyaallah...Congrats to Anis, Peet, Hana and Farah.

p/s: Yes, i gained weight a.k.a fat. so what?

We ride bike too

May in 2009 is heaven for its extra off days! Unlike any other weekends, last weekend I was at home instead of SP. Our initial plan was to spend time at Perlis. But somehow, the bosses approved the leaves that Zul never applied for. Sweet? I suggest that you hold that thought.

It feels good to be a decent wife once in a while. By decent, I mean doing what a typical wife would do for the husband; house chores, cook, wash, etc. Not that I don’t want to but distance limits my options. Thanks to the leave approval, I managed to cook for Zul that day.

After solat jumaat, around 3 to 4 pm, a text from SP came in. A special order for Zul to get something which is quite impossible to find in KL. The nearest place with the highest possibility is Kuantan. I suggested that Zul take the car to get there. But after long discussion, we decided to take the bike! Yes, we ride bike too!

The journey was challenging. First because of the weight that the bike carries. Second because of the route that we take. From Bukit Beruntung, the nearest route to Kuantan is through Genting Highlands. Challenging enough? For a 110c powered Yamaha Lagenda with 140kg duo to climb up Genting Highlands, I must say that it is amazing! It took us almost 4 hours to arrive at Kuantan. It was already dark by the time we were there. So we headed to Atok’s house at Pekan for a night stay and came back to Bukit Beruntung the next day.

the fat-still couple

its a cable car!!

Another crazy weekend. Look forward for more!

Weekend Honeymoon

I received a text from Paklong and retruned his called later, last Thursday. Its been quite some time since our last conversation. Yeah, a lot has happened since then. And Alhamdulillah, with God willing, everything is well now. Alhamdulillah. "So Sg Petani or Penang?" he asked. "Ish...takpe la Paklong...susah2 je..." Paklong offered Zul and I a free hotel accomodation for the weekend. I tried to avoid 'causing the trouble' especially to my dearest uncle. But he insisted and my mom advised me to accept it. "Janji Jaja ingat kat die (paklong)" says mama. Alas, Zul and I settled for Penang, yeay!

It was a great weekend trip. We only stayed at Penang for 1 night but we made the most out of it. It brings back the old memories...we spent our time just like a new couple in love ;p lovely! The journey began on Saturday afternoon. Had our lunch at my favourite restoran pokok chery and took off from there. Traffic was good, the weather was beautiful and we reached The Gurney Hotel around 1.30pm.

That evening, we just took a tour around the hotel. The facilities were interesting. There are swimming pool, archery, gym, table tennis, mini zoo and a lot more. We were excited! Later, we found ourselves to the walkway along beach and then the Gurney Plaza! Watched: Fast and Furious 4. Ate: Nando's.
And today, we went for swimming. Gosh it feels great! Lame gile tak swim... And it was my first time to see him in 'the move' :)

the fat couple..yes, we both gained weight!

Although it was just a night stay, we are happy with our trip. Thanks to Paklong for the accomodation and the husband for being supportive.

See you next weekend, husband!

A Year End Holiday (YEH) @ SP

Its the time of the year again...or shall i say last year? Hehe..i took 3 days annual leave and found myself 9 days off from work..brilliant!Well, thats inclusive of the weekends..brilliant still..My favourite past time lately is to travel up north to Sg Petani..so guess what would be the best way to spend the off days? EXACTLY! Up north i went on 26th Dec 08 at 5.15pm, after office hour! Aim: to spend time with the husband =)
Stayed: VIP room inside the camp

28th Dec 08 : Zul's birthday
Had a small surprise for him (cake je pon ;p) to celebrate. It was his turn as duty officer that day. So he had to be on standby a.k.a office & uniform = 24 hours. Nonetheless, the cake was delicious and the husband & wife were bloated.

p/s: we both gained weight! hahahaha

31st Dec 08 : Muzium Arkeologi Lembah Bujang, Golf & Dinner @ mess

Went to the nearby museum with Kak Lin, the wife of one of Zul's officer. We were bored and didnt know what to do. So we went window shopping at Central Square and later to the museum. By the time we headed 'home' it was already 3.00pm. The husbands will be home soon. Yeay!

Later that day, together with other officers, Zul and I went to a driving range at Merbok. I always wanted to get myself into this sport. I used to follow baba to golf courses during my childhood. I always wanted to do the swing and 'feel' the art. At first, I only watched them from behind. But deep down inside, I hoped for a chance to do 'my-thing' hehe..and atlast my wish came true! Thanks to Zul who dragged me to give it a try!

That night, we had dinner at the officer's mess. There, we met the second man incharge of the batallion. He gave us advice on marriage that we found useful for the days to come. He reminds me of my father in law who soon will return from Haj.

Tomorrow, we are going to the regimental dinner at Cinta Sayang Golf & Country Club. Yeay! No new outfit, just not-so-old collection of wardrobe.
1st Jan 09
Conclusion: We are HAPPY!
