Wengurl: Wedding No. 4

Wengurl... A group of 10 hard working career women, who met each other 10 years back in a small, deserted area called Tronoh, Seri Iskandar.  A few gatherings pulled them closer, until a mutual agreement is established. Yes, we are sisters!

Time flies. The girls are now grown to beautiful ladies. Still, with different backgrounds and different characters. Thanks to the spirit of friendship, we compliment each other, we appreciate each other and we concern about each other.

Now, we don't live under the same roof. We have our own life's to concentrate on; family, work, boyfriends. But hey, no excuse. Technology makes companionship possible. We are now connected through Whatsapp! Cheer and laughter are just a text a way when you need it :D we love Whatsapp!

30 March 2012 marked another milestone; the forth wedding in the group. This time, Fira tied the knot! The reception was held at Lembaga Getah, Jalan Ampang. 8 of us came with husbands, kids and boyfriends. Alin, the bride #3 didn't make it. She just gave birth to a healthy baby boy early Mach. I am so thankful that Zul allowed me to be present, although it was a night-wedding. [first 3 weddings captured here]

The kids were well-behaved; Raudhah slept throughout the ceremony in the stroller while Umar, was so calm and patience. Thank you kids! Ibu misses ibu's girlfriends a lot.

Great companion to keep. Alhamdulillah.

Congratulations dear Fira! :)

Meet Aunty Roe

Alhamdulillah, many loves u dearie. Last friday, we had heavy breakfast. A piece of NZ's roti telur, piece and a half of roti kosong and nasi lemak ayam, sponsored by caring officemates. They fed me with the same thing in mind,my baby :-) syukur. Wow, what a happy tummy!

Zul and I were touched. Baby got her first gift last wednesday. It was from a colleague at different operating unit, Roe. To see a greeting card and a purple-ly wrapped gift on ur desk after lunch break was so exciting indeed! its so special, that i wanted to capture it here, at my humble blog :-)

Thank you Roe!

Ake & Eda’s wedding

They were our schoolmates, way back in the old days at Semesta. One of the pioneer Semesta9701 couples. We were so glad that we had the chance to attend the wedding. Apes called me on Thursday to ask for direction to one of the tamans in Bukit Beruntung. Haha…screw me I don’t have the answer for that. I asked “takde org ke kat situ yg ko boleh tanye?”. “Jaja, lelaki don’t ask for direction”, he responded. “Ego!”, amek ko sebijik. The query followed by the invitation. “Ko tak g wedding Ake ke minggu ni”. So I informed Apes that Zul is around, and we might be able to make it. BUT he has to call Zul himself and let Zul knows. As far as I’m concern, I’m ok with it. Semesta9701 folk has arranged for football match, at 5.00 pm the same day as Ake’s wedding. Nice, an opportunity to meet and catch up with the rest of Semesta9701 species.

The first appearance of ZulJaja to Semesta9701 events! Cool. I almost forget how hilarious semestarians are, especially my batch. This also reflects their value towards friendship…Amazing! After 8 years leaving school, they are still well informed about each other, the bond is in tact. This explains what life has taught them throughout the 5 years in school. Well, it was good to meet you guys. Till we meet again in the next events, Insyaallah :)

The maroon-brownish theme was an unusual but classically awesome. Congratulations. Kami dating tunjuk muke je, sorry.

Last Friday, during lunch time, I went for shopping to get a farewell token for Zul’s second man in charge in the battalion. We decided to give something that he and wife can use, something meaningful. At first, I proposed to buy a woodcraft token available at ARCH KLCC. But Zul voiced his concern that it might go to waste, kumpul habuk je. So based on my previous experience being farewell-ed , we settled down with exclusive pen for them! We truly like the idea and we know that Mej Nizam is happy with the gift. Yeay! Regimental dinner was held to celebrate outgoing officers as well as the new comers. But I couldn’t believe myself that we did not take any duo pictures that night! Only group photos, maybe I’ll upload some later.
While the sales lady was preparing the gift, I took a walk around the shopping mall. To my surprise, I met an old friend who at that moment was having her lunch with her officemate. It’s been so long since we talk to each other. The last time we had long conversation was almost a year back, during KKP. And to know that she is getting married soon, we kept on talking, denying the existence of full stop. We talked about hows life changes, with everyone entering new phases in their on ways. For instance, after 6 months, I still couldn’t believe that I’m married! No I’m not living in denial nor able to explain the rationale behind this. You gotta experience it yourself… one thing for sure, personally, the best thing about marriage is when you and partner perform solat together. You’ll feel complete and peaceful; it keeps your inspired and motivated to go through the day.
The old friend, Sal mentioned that she read my entry on the wedding day and highlighted there were no pictures on the wedding held at Zul’s side. Well, here goes…To Sal, I enjoyed talking to you since forever. May the wedding goes very well. You’ll be a good wife, no doubt!

Behind the joy and laughter...

Its been a while since my last entry. A lot has happened since then. Time flies so fast. And on top of the list is non-other than my marriage with my dearly husband which will mark its 4th month tomorrow. Being married brings me to a different chapter of a relationship. With both of us located at different state, it requires a little bit more to make it work. Alhamdulillah, all went well so far. I guess our long distance affair all this while has thought us a lot about give-and-take and contributes to our maturity in navigating the relation-ship. Now, when we go for a walk together, we ask each other… ‘Agaknye orang2 ni ingat kite ni suami isteri ke?’ :p 4 months…and the wedding albums are still my favourite companion, not to forget, the wedding video. I’m still not over the excitement. The feeling is just so beautiful.

Whenever I talk about my wedding, I cant seem to runaway from the sad loss despite the ultimate happiness I gained. A good friend got engaged on the day I got married, 08.11.08. We quarreled over the clashed date, morever when she said that I didn’t tell her bout the date earlier. We didn’t talk to each other for few days. But at last, I made peace with her and accepted that she won’t be able to witness my wedding as much as I wanted her to be. She’s a sister I never had. We shared problems, we consoled each other during difficult times, we shared the same concerns about work and we’re both the first child of the family. We understand each other so well in less than 2 years. She texted me on the wedding day “Salam ja..selamat pengantin baru.akak doakan semuanya berjalan lancar..dr jauh akak doakan kebahagian jaja J take care sayang – 10:41am, 08.11.08” I was so occupied during the big day that I hardy replied to the sms(s) that I received…which I really regret when at 8:28pm, 09.11.08, I received another text “Jaja..tolong bgtau bos kakak aku jaja..dia accident xsedar lg smpi skg…” from Darnih, the younger sister. I was busy washing kuali, periuk and all sort of kenduri utensil that I only open the text when another one came in “Jaja kakak aku meninggal dunia – 9:01pm, 09.11.08” Inalillah… I cried…and cried…and cried…

Dear kakak, it took me 4 months till I can finally write about this. I’m sorry that I didn’t reply your text. I still feel so bad about it. I believe this happened for good reason. We’re so close. But on the day you went away, I found my way to a husband. You were in Tawau… if you’re in KL, I might gone crazily sad over this loss..we took our life to the next stage on the same day. I got married in your favourite colour, purple. You struggled to get a nice wedding gift for me. And called me sayang in your text. Ya Allah, its just not easy for me…I miss you. You made big impact to others as well. I’m so fortunate to have the opportunity to be around you for 20 months. Thank you for being a great companion. Al-Fatihah to Allahyarhamah Hasnih Jamaluddin.
