Weekend Honeymoon
It was a great weekend trip. We only stayed at Penang for 1 night but we made the most out of it. It brings back the old memories...we spent our time just like a new couple in love ;p lovely! The journey began on Saturday afternoon. Had our lunch at my favourite restoran pokok chery and took off from there. Traffic was good, the weather was beautiful and we reached The Gurney Hotel around 1.30pm.
That evening, we just took a tour around the hotel. The facilities were interesting. There are swimming pool, archery, gym, table tennis, mini zoo and a lot more. We were excited! Later, we found ourselves to the walkway along beach and then the Gurney Plaza! Watched: Fast and Furious 4. Ate: Nando's.
And today, we went for swimming. Gosh it feels great! Lame gile tak swim... And it was my first time to see him in 'the move' :)
the fat couple..yes, we both gained weight!
Although it was just a night stay, we are happy with our trip. Thanks to Paklong for the accomodation and the husband for being supportive.
See you next weekend, husband!

8 years and still counting...

Get to know yourself better - Inspired by Diyana's entry
And the result....
Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.
The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.
*I think I am...hahaha
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.
*YES but I committed to the relationship first and got to know Zul along the way. U jampi I ke b?
The seriousness of your love:
You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?
*my love is only for Mr Zulfadhli and I dont flirt, and please, behave seductively?to the hubby of course! ;p
Your views on education:
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.
The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.
How do you view success:
Success in your career is not the most important thing in life. You are content with what you have and think that being with someone you love is more than spending all of your precious time just working.
*EXACTLY
What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.
*oh this is so TRUE!! I can be control freak jugak Diyana!
Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.
Comments anyone?

Behind the joy and laughter...
Whenever I talk about my wedding, I cant seem to runaway from the sad loss despite the ultimate happiness I gained. A good friend got engaged on the day I got married, 08.11.08. We quarreled over the clashed date, morever when she said that I didn’t tell her bout the date earlier. We didn’t talk to each other for few days. But at last, I made peace with her and accepted that she won’t be able to witness my wedding as much as I wanted her to be. She’s a sister I never had. We shared problems, we consoled each other during difficult times, we shared the same concerns about work and we’re both the first child of the family. We understand each other so well in less than 2 years. She texted me on the wedding day “Salam ja..selamat pengantin baru.akak doakan semuanya berjalan lancar..dr jauh akak doakan kebahagian jaja J take care sayang – 10:41am, 08.11.08” I was so occupied during the big day that I hardy replied to the sms(s) that I received…which I really regret when at 8:28pm, 09.11.08, I received another text “Jaja..tolong bgtau bos kakak aku jaja..dia accident xsedar lg smpi skg…” from Darnih, the younger sister. I was busy washing kuali, periuk and all sort of kenduri utensil that I only open the text when another one came in “Jaja kakak aku meninggal dunia – 9:01pm, 09.11.08” Inalillah… I cried…and cried…and cried…

Dear kakak, it took me 4 months till I can finally write about this. I’m sorry that I didn’t reply your text. I still feel so bad about it. I believe this happened for good reason. We’re so close. But on the day you went away, I found my way to a husband. You were in Tawau… if you’re in KL, I might gone crazily sad over this loss..we took our life to the next stage on the same day. I got married in your favourite colour, purple. You struggled to get a nice wedding gift for me. And called me sayang in your text. Ya Allah, its just not easy for me…I miss you. You made big impact to others as well. I’m so fortunate to have the opportunity to be around you for 20 months. Thank you for being a great companion. Al-Fatihah to Allahyarhamah Hasnih Jamaluddin.

A Year End Holiday (YEH) @ SP
Stayed: VIP room inside the camp
28th Dec 08 : Zul's birthday
Had a small surprise for him (cake je pon ;p) to celebrate. It was his turn as duty officer that day. So he had to be on standby a.k.a office & uniform = 24 hours. Nonetheless, the cake was delicious and the husband & wife were bloated.
p/s: we both gained weight! hahahaha

31st Dec 08 : Muzium Arkeologi Lembah Bujang, Golf & Dinner @ mess
Went to the nearby museum with Kak Lin, the wife of one of Zul's officer. We were bored and didnt know what to do. So we went window shopping at Central Square and later to the museum. By the time we headed 'home' it was already 3.00pm. The husbands will be home soon. Yeay!

Later that day, together with other officers, Zul and I went to a driving range at Merbok. I always wanted to get myself into this sport. I used to follow baba to golf courses during my childhood. I always wanted to do the swing and 'feel' the art. At first, I only watched them from behind. But deep down inside, I hoped for a chance to do 'my-thing' hehe..and atlast my wish came true! Thanks to Zul who dragged me to give it a try!

That night, we had dinner at the officer's mess. There, we met the second man incharge of the batallion. He gave us advice on marriage that we found useful for the days to come. He reminds me of my father in law who soon will return from Haj.

Wedding
Alhamdulillah, 2008 marked a new journey to my life. Zul and I officially pronounced as husband and wife on Saturday, 08.11.08 at 10.43am. The solemnization took place at my parent’s house at Bukit Beruntung. I can still recall the atmosphere…the whether was sunny bright, the natural-fragrant of the fresh flowers soothes, simple décor here and there, the canopy setup and the guests; families and friends were there to witness and celebrate the occasion. Everything was simple just as I wanted it to be :) THEME: Purple!I was nervous on the big day, seriously. We planned to begin the akad nikah at 10.30am. Zul’s side arrived at 10.00am! And during that time, my invitees (families and close friends) were still on their way to our house. Even Tuan Kadi was not there. The house was just not ready for the event! Kak Nurul also came a bit late. Hehe well I guess express make over suits express wedding perfectly :P Luckily the makeup turned out so beautiful. Many couldn’t take it when I show them my wedding picture. Credit goes to Kak Nurul!
The ceremony began at 10.30am roughly. Zul and I settled down at our place and Tuan Kadi took it from there. I remember the look on Zul’s face. He was really calm, steady as always. Impressive! He smiled and laughed; and that drove my anxiety away! I asked him later that night; 'you looked so calm pagi td...tak cuak ke?' and he responded 'y should i? i nak u..' cair~ haha..Tuan Kadi also handled the ceremony well. I went to several akad nikahs before. Often, the surrounding was ‘gloomy’, serious and a bit tense especially for the groom. But this Kadi was so cool. The kutbah was interesting, once a while he added in jokes which helped to neutralized the aura in the hall. You could hear people laughing, see people smiling during the session. Aint that beautiful? I was so happy. And tried so hard to put away the sad feeling of ‘leaving’ the family and becoming someone else’s. I avoid looking at mama and baba; a tears-wedding do without!

My close friends were also around during the akad; Fatin arrived the night before and Wengurl came on the day itself. Alin, Sha, Zura, Diyana, Diha, Noran, Apid, Fira and Pina..they came in purple! Missing : Ms Syafina Daniel..hehe Old friends from school were also there. Zul and I were flattered! To Fatin, I owe u big time! Thanks for sleeping over the night before and treated me like a queen during my big day..
The event continued with acara besanding at 2.00pm. We were grateful for having Zul’s peers to join us during the ceremony. They came all the way from Sg Petani! Even his second man in charge in the battalion was there. The sword bearer ceremony attracted many to come and witness the military wedding. I couldn’t describe how I felt but I remember the big fat smile on my face. After bersanding, we headed to the main table. The food was great. It was during this time that I took a moment to peak around; glancing through the crowd, looking for people that I know. To my surprise, many came up..i’m blessed to have great people around me =)
Food was good, we then took off for photography session. Wow, everything passed by so fast I tell you! We were about to settle down; Zul delivered a short speech to the crowd and then there was a familiar voice, requested for “Satu lagu!” Oh my…we didn’t prepare for this! Trained as an army, it is against Zul’s stand to give up to ‘challenge’. So he held my hand and leaded me to the karaoke booth. Haha we picked the song called Seiring Sejalan by Broery & Sharifah Aini. It was fun! And we sang another song at Zul’s reception; Dua Insan. Siyes kene buli ;p
Overall, I personally love the feeling of getting married. I am satisfied with my simple wedding and think it was lively! I have one regret though, being the couple of the day, i was rushed here and there..and i didnt have enough time to spend with my close friends..this I truly regret! I hope they understand tho...
Thank to those who came. I really appreciate your support; in any ways! Thank you..thank you..thank you.. (you know who you are :) )...
Hunny, i love you!
Cheers~

KKP'08 rawks!
This year's centralized training was more organized. Almost all players (netball) turned up during the twice-a-day training. Boy, i really miss the 1.6km 'drill' that we had everyday. We had amazing coaches too. Netball had always be the first team to come down for training (as early as 7.30am; while others still enjoying their breakfast) and always the last team to finish the morning training :) very2 hardworking eh? yup! its just not our luck..
Today, we had a small gathering during lunch time at Nando's. It was fun to meet the girls again. See you guys in one year time! Go Corporate!
Ready.Set.Action!
