#4

C#4. C is the limit at the moment. No LV, Gucci, Prada...not yet (but I don't see it is coming in the near future).

Oh how lah did I get involved in handbags at the first place? I can't recall. Rest assured, this spending disorder is manageable and obsession is not an issue.

P/s: Setahun sekali je. Tolong approve pembelian 'tak diiktiraf' ni ye hubby!

LDM

Again. After only closed to 12 months living together under 1 roof.

I have been pampered with all the assistance I could get from a helpful husband ever since. Now is the time to get back on my feet. Reality check, I am fine with the fact that I have to manage the kids and household affair alone. Just, I miss the companionship from the person I loved for 11 years now. Today and onwards, it is just me and Raudhah in our daily ride to KL.

Deep inside, I pray for a unite family, living together in our home sweet home. Amin...

P/s: ...and everywhere I am, there you'll be... ILU ZI!

1 month @ Taska Raniya

05.12.2012

Today marked RAZ's first month with the play school. I am so glad and delighted by the feedback received from the principal just now. Alhamdulillah, the 'jetlag' has fairly improved; no more prolonged-drop-of-drama. The cries stop when the shadow of ibu's car left the school compound. Good, kakak!

Raudhah is not friendly to strangers. It is not easy to gain her trust. She will take her time to settle down. After 1 month, I am so glad that she has started to participate and has been more cooperative in group activities. Hip hip hoorey!

Speech wise, more vocabularies were observed since attending play school. She shown interest to communicate and often sing/pronounce the songs/words she knew especially during our 60km journey to home sweet home.
Lori, bas, motor and kereta are the common objects she encountered with and pronounce everyday. When she saw a mosque, she cited 'Allah Akbar' (Allahuakbar). Her current favourite song is L.O.V.E by High5. ' L O B(V laa) E...I you, you me' hahaha. The actual line was L O V E I love you and you love me! Pretty close huh?

Alhamdulillah. May more good progress follows soon . In shaa Allah...

P/s: 1 month since the first day, in actual she only went to school 14 times including today ;p

Fulfilling weekend

Pheww...what a weekend!

Spent my Saturday in KL, on workshop arrangement for my beloved WKV. Timing belt putus kat Tol Duta last Friday. Gasak. Tak tahulah berapa kos baiki tu. Yang pasti, putus masa husband tengah slow down and free gear at the toll-gate. Hopefully, nothing serious.

Sunday was packed. Fun. The kids woke up late. Ibu had the opportunity to clean up the house. Hoorey! In addition to that, ibu even had the time for gardening. Bliss. Musim hujan, rumput cepat panjang. Semak. Cut things short, 4 highlights of my Sunday:

1. Potong rumput. Tengok je ayah maneuver his anniversary gift; the lawnmower. Oh we planted 2 trees in our mini kebun; mengkudu and mangga chok an nan!

2. Project fish. Our previous pet died, due to faulty pump. Sayang, ikan dah besar. Tapi takda rezeki. Husband decorated the aquarium and filled it with new fish. I kind of like the new look :)

3. Wall sticker. Two reasons why I tolerated stickers at my wall is I know my kids will love them and because baba bought them for his cucu. Looks quite ok, isn't it?

4. Cycling time with RAZ. Fun! The weather was rainy during the evening. But the girl insisted to go out for a ride. I accompanied her for a quick ride. Boleh dia bawa basikal sampai kedai pastu pow ibu aiskrem. Ibu pula berlenggang bawa fon je teman dia. Moral of the story, keep a ringgit or two with you when accompanying a child on his/her bicycle ride. Hehe

Alhamdulillah.

P/s: will encounter with long distance marriage again, soon... My 5-year-plan starts now. I want a family under 1 roof!

PLUSMiles

02.11.2012.

Something not good happened on the day we made the decision on the suitable play school for Raudhah. I was in rush on our back home that evening. To cut story short, I lost my PLUSMiles card; of RM100 balance and RM164 rebate! In total, the lost worth RM264 **

So there goes, me the frequent user of PLUS Highway, PLUSMiles-less for almost a month now.

Until today. Since our beloved Satria stranded at Toll Duta, we took the opportunity to apply for new card. The best part of it, we requested the attendant to block my previous card and transfer the rebate to the new one! At least we managed to recover RM164. I am more than happy. Alhamdulillah :)

P/a: This is life. You gain some, you loss some. Back to the stranded car. That sure poke a bigger hole on my pocket this month :D

IQRAMILK

Serabut

Back at home. The past 2 weeks have been challenged with health problems. Pheww glad all is falling into place, bit by bit. Tired, really. Too bad I did not have the advantage to get enough rest. I have to make up for the lost man hours; presentation paper worth millions of RM is in my plate at the moment. Weekend pon kerja from home. Stress.

So this weekend, no mopping and house chores done. Semak, serabut. Macam susunan serai dalam gambar tu.

Rasa nak masak. Apa nak buat dengan serai banyak-banyak tu?

Purple Friday

Belum tengok purse lagi tu, purple juga! I am prone towards purple, unconsciously. I guess it all started with my purple wedding. Also, was an impromtu decision, to not burden my aunty who was kind enough to decorate the hantaran for me. Maklong ada banyak deco stuff in purple, so yeah that led to my purple everything :D call it lilac what so ever. I cakap purple je la senang.

Happy Friday, people! :)

Stranger@School

5th November 2012 marked another milestone in our little family. Alhamdulillah, RAZ is now attending play school. Some may say, "Ala, play school je". Not to me. It is a good feeling seeing the young one progresses to the next stage(s) of life. Not to mention, an emotional one! Gosh, ni baru masuk play school. Esok kakak perform speech before the audience ke, won a sport event ke...I wonder how will I react. This ibu is sooooo indulged with her kids. And yes I believe many of us do :)

I had butterflies in my stomach everyday; from the day we made the decision (2th Nov 2012) until now, especially in the morning when we drop her at the school. RAZ was fine during the first day; amazed by the swimming pool outside. She did not realize that I was about to leave her there, with the teachers and new friends on a very very new compound to her conscious. I was told that she cried at last. However, her reaction later that evening surprised me. She looked so happy, all smiling the moment she noticed my arrival at the school compound. "Hi mom!", she said, running towards me and gave me a big hug. *GLAD* So I guess it was a good start. I understand that change needs time, in order to work. Honestly, I did expect some drama but yes, I have to admit that I am affected when I see she cries :'( Nonetheless, ibu has no doubt that you will be ok, kakak...

Today is RAZ's fifth day at school. And today was ayah's first experience sending her to school, after been away for 1 week due to attending short course outside KL. Hehe ayah pon terdiam jap tengok kakak nangis. Don't worry, she is going to be fine. Tak caya tunggu petang nanti. (Sebenarnya ibu akan call dulu tanya situation RAZ kul 9 pagi. Tu pasal tak risau. Haha)

On the bright side, although it has only been 4 days, change has started to chip in. On the way back in the car last week, RAZ hummed/sang ABC song (the letters ke laut, rhyme tetap ada) and counted 1 to 10 (max). Also, shouted "Hip hip, huyeiiii!" (Hip hip horey). Must be from the school. It is strange thinking about how does your brain works. The teacher told me that RAZ do not always get involved in the activities. In this 'jet lag' period, she prefers watching from a far, do what she wants when she feels like it. But still she managed to digest few lessons taught. Alhamdulillah.

And during our short gateway to Paka last weekend, few more vocabs were discovered. Maikey (monkey), shoe, and hat.

I hope that we made the right decision sending RAZ to school. The intention is to get herself occupied with light activities with friends around. Never, to pressure her to perform and compete. What do think about this, fellow moms? Are you with me?

P/s: Please excuse the n*ked Barbie in the picture ;p

Anniversary

Alhamdulillah. It has been 4 wonderful years since the day we tied the knot. It has been an amazing journey too. From a hype-duo, parent of 1 and now parent of 2. Alhamdulillah. Such a fulfilling experience, a journey that I will forever cherish...for both the joy and sorrow.

To my dearest ZI,

I love you more & more each day,
I guess it tells without say,
To the Almighty let us pray,
For an endless love & happiness that won't stray away...
Muah!

P/s: Happy 55th birthday Baba! :)

$hopping-$aturday

Fewit!

P/s: design baju kurung sangat comel! Beli saiz 4, puas hati. Tak ketat, tak longgar :D Semoga kakak seronok di Taska Raniya. Insyaallah...

P/s2: ramai kawan-kawan ibu seronok dengar pasal Raudhah masuk sekolah. Terima kasih. Ramai juga yang rancang nak ikut jejak :) Semoga dipermudahkan urusan playschool hunting anda!

Play school hunting

Another big step

Driven by Raudhah Amani's improved vocabs/speech development, coupled with her interest to play with other kids witnessed at local kidz fun zone, Zul and I believe that she is ready to be exposed to the crowd. She will celebrate her third birthday in 3 months time. I am in denial. Cepatnya kakak besar :)
The hunting began only this week. And yesterday, we have already finalised the play school for dear Raudhah. Insyaallah, will start sending her to the place this Monday *nervous*
The initial plan was to register for next year. However, Zul preferred that we enroll as soon as possible; before he moves to PD. Hopefully Raudhah will adapt well by then, Insyaallah. :)

The hunting-job

I did some survey and site visits, just to have some ideas of what to expect. The following are the underlying criteria that we took into consideration in selecting the best-fit-school for our darling daughter;

  1. The ambiance of the school; a factor related to cleanliness, air circulation/natural lighting through the windows, the staff and the kids.
  2. Daily schedule or activities; variety modules to encourage learning.
  3. Location and operating hours; along the route taken between home and work. Opens early is an advantage.
  4. Annual and monthly fee; not more than RM500 per month.

As usual, I did the ground work; short listing the preferred school, present my findings to zul before making up our mind. So here goes...

A) Taska Dunia Dinamik, Bukit Sentosa

1. Good surrounding, suitable for learning activities. From the art crafts displayed and the pictures of the children, I can tell that it is a happy place. The owner is energetic and has positive attitude. I like.
2. Offers very interesting activities. The school also has good rapport with local authorities. Student ada beg bomba tau! Mak budak pon belum tentu ada. Uses lots of learning material, I am impressed.
3. Located near home. Opens from 6.50am until 6.30pm. (My biggest problem. I leave home for work before 6.30am everyday :( )
4. Less than RM300 per month.

B) Tadika-X (I don't prefer this place and think I don't have to mention the name)

1. Gloomy, gelap, tingkap tutup, aircond throughout the day, siling rendah, no proper setup for 3yo learning activities, rumput serupa lalang, rasa sesak nafas dalam banglo tu. First point je dah out. Secara automatik, fail. Hehe.
2. Cikgu tak convincing...
3. Located in KL, near UTM Semarak and MINDEF.
4. RM300 per month.

C) Brainy Bunch Islamic Montessori

3. Out of my route.
4. RM600 over per month.

D) Taska Raniya

1. Feels like home. Very spacious. Got swimming pool. Happy kids :)
2. Uses Glen Doman method. Very interesting, with physical & gymnastic activities. And swimming class :D
3. Located in KL, near MINDEF.
4. RM500 per month (additional RM60 for sswimming lesson)

Oh it was fun doing the survey and site visits. I set the limit to 4 places, to prevent from being indecisive. Sebenarnya, mana-mana pon sama. The challenge is to find the place that wins your heart. Considering all 4 criteria, Taska Raniya not only caters ibu's heart but tackled ayah's value spelled as p.a.r.t.i.c.u.l.a.r. Boy, you are picky at times, ayah. But for a good purpose, I have to agree :)

I pray for a easy Monday; smooth first day at school for Raudhah Amani. Permudahkanlah urusan kami Ya Allah... Amin.
Doakan Raudhah Amani, ok? :)

P/s: went shopping for the must-haves school items today. Alhamdulillah

Speech progress

A bit delayed, but improving. Raudhah Amani has made attempts to talk of late. I am so happy to hear her cute sentences, most of the time is resemblance of cartoon-scripts! Apparently her vocabs are more towards English rather than Malay. Not that I speak English at home, just that she watched Disney Jr. Channel like nobody's business. I am positive that she will catch up with her mother tongue language soon.

It is funny when facial expressions and body gestures followed her speech. Now, she called me mom instead of bu(ibu). Haha well I used to dream of being a mommy so here is a dream comes true *face-slap*.

We started to discover her speech improvement 2 weeks back; while I attended weekend-office-meetings at Kuantan. I brought the family along for a short gateway. Zul babysit the kids and had the honour to witness Raudhah's surprises (pardon me, I am just happy with my kids' development :) )

"Hi cat!"
"Hey, wait for me!", then chase the cat
"Hey, where did it go?", she asked another cat at the scene

"I love u"
"Are you ok?"
"I happy", which is supposed to be Happy Birthday ;p

Yeah, some of the sentences that I could think of right now.

Alhamdulillah. Tahun depan kita pergi sekolah ye kakak. Mudah-mudahan boleh lagi pandai. Insyaallah...

P/s: kids is a resemblance of pure love, sincere and honest. Alhamdulillah... :)
